Terms of
Engagement of Web Forensics Lab, LLC ("The Agency") is governed by these rigorous clinical protocols. By initiating a case, you ("The Principal") agree to these terms.
Scope of Authorization
The Principal represents and warrants that they have a legitimate, legal interest in the subject matter of the investigation. The Agency exclusively utilizes open-source intelligence (OSINT), proprietary data repositories, and lawful forensic methods.
Prohibited Activities
The Agency will not perform: Unauthorized computer access (hacking), password theft, wiretapping, or any action violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) or NYC General Business Law.
Professional Effort vs. Guaranteed Outcome
Investigation is an empirical process. While we maintain a 98% case success rate, the findings are dependent on the existence of verifiable data. The Principal agrees that fees are for professional time and clinical expertise, not for a specific predetermined finding.
Fee Structure & Retainers
All mandates require a non-refundable initial retainer unless otherwise stipulated in writing. Fees are billed against this retainer at current Agency rates. Any professional expenses (travel, data acquisition, field agents) are billed net-15 upon approval.
Liability & Indemnification
The Agency provides intelligence for informational and strategic purposes. The Principal agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Agency from any third-party claims arising from the Principal's use of the intelligence reports in legal proceedings or personal disputes.
